Folk & Filter started as a side project in a spare room. Two friends, one roaster, and way too many bags of green beans from Ethiopia, Colombia and Java. Somehow it became a cafe.

We roast on site, twice a week, in small batches. Every coffee on our bar comes from a producer we have chosen deliberately, and we cup everything before it goes on the menu.

Good to know

Do you take bookings?

Walk-ins only, we like it that way. On busy weekend mornings there can be a short wait for a table, but the coffee is worth it.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes. Several brunch dishes are gluten-free or can be adapted. Let your server know. Our kitchen does handle gluten, so we cannot guarantee zero cross-contact for severe allergies.

Can I buy beans or arrange wholesale?

Bags are available in-store, and we do fortnightly subscription delivery. For wholesale, email wholesale@folkandfilter.com.au with your venue details.

Is the cafe dog friendly?

Completely. Dogs are welcome in our outdoor area and we always have a water bowl out.
